Aaron Dougherty helps interior designers connect with their dream clients by melding the designer’s talent with his own photography skills through creative collaboration. Based in Dallas, Texas, Aaron Dougherty Interiors Photography has been serving interior designers from Texas with elevated interior photography for the last fifteen years. 

Aaron began his career as a home furnishings photographer for national brands, and continued on that path until 2010 when he received an unexpected opportunity to work with an established interior designer. After that experience, Aaron knew he was hooked on the industry and set his concentration on interior photography. 

Getting beautiful images at a photoshoot is always the goal for a photographer, but the best images captivate viewers by telling them a visual story about the designer’s unique design voice. As Aaron explains: “People look past sameness but perk up when they see different. I capture beautiful pictures of their ‘different.’”Aaron’s favorite projects to photograph are kitchens. Photographically, he sees them as a trove of captivating vantage points as he knows designers are fantastic at layering loads of luxury per square foot. 

But Aaron’s work doesn’t stop after the photoshoot. Once he finishes a photography session he gets on a strategy call with the designer to brainstorm current opportunities for exposure with the freshly delivered images of their design project. The opportunities available for each client vary, but they could be an award submission closing soon, a press submission, or even a reporter needing commentary from a professional interior designer.
